From watchlist to result: keep your bids organized

A simple routine for following vehicles, checking active bids, and keeping auction outcomes in context.

An auction day is easier to follow when each vehicle has a clear place in your workflow. Use your watchlist to organize vehicles you are following, active bids to check current activity, and bid history to review recorded results.

Start with a focused watchlist

Keep the vehicles you want to follow together. Before opening a record, check its lot number and auction account so that similarly named vehicles do not get mixed up. Open the vehicle details when you need the full picture rather than relying only on the listing title.

Review active bids separately

Your watchlist and active bids serve different purposes. A watched vehicle does not automatically mean you have placed a bid. Use the Active Bids page to follow bid records that are still active, and check the status freshness shown alongside the record.

  • Green highlights Won or Winning.
  • Red highlights Outbid or Lost.
  • Amber highlights Pending, Awaiting outcome, or Action required.
  • Gray highlights Closed, Cancelled, and other completed statuses.

A recorded Winning status is not the same as a final Won result. Recheck the current provider record before treating an auction outcome as settled.

Keep repeated attempts in context

When a vehicle has more than one bid attempt, review the grouped history. Use the lot number, account, customer, and date together to understand which attempt belongs to which activity. This helps you discuss a result with the right customer.

Finish with a short review

After the auction, check recorded outcomes and the invoices available in your workspace. Use that review to decide which records need a follow-up and which can move out of your daily watchlist.

Questions answered

Does a watched vehicle mean a bid has been placed?

No. A watchlist organizes vehicles you follow. Check Active Bids or bid history for recorded bid attempts.
